FAQs:

Student Visas for Studying in Spain

If you are a non-European Union citizen planning to study in Spain, you will generally need a student visa. The visa type depends on the duration of your course:

  • Studying in Spain for up to 90 days: You need a short-term student visa. This visa allows you to stay for the course duration but does not allow you to work or apply for a Foreigner Identity Card (TIE).

  • Studying in Spain for between 90 and 180 days: You will need a Student Visa Type C. With this visa, you cannot apply for a Foreigner Identity Card (TIE) and are not allowed to work legally in Spain.

  • Studying in Spain for more than 180 days: You will need a Student Visa Type D. Additionally, after arrival, you must apply for a Foreigner Identity Card (TIE) within 30 calendar days. This card grants legal residence and may allow certain rights during your stay.

Visa Application Process

  • Applications must be submitted at the Spanish consulate or embassy in your home country, typically between 30 and 90 days before your course begins.

  • Required documents usually include:

    • An official acceptance letter from your school

    • Proof of financial means to support yourself during your stay

    • Valid health insurance

    • Proof of accommodation

    • Valid passport and completed application forms

  • Some documents might need to be translated into Spanish and legalized or apostilled.

Important Notes

  • Visa processing times vary, so apply early to avoid delays.

  • For long-term visas (over 180 days), registering for your Foreigner Identity Card (TIE) within 30 days of arrival is mandatory

  • Please note that visa policies and procedures can vary depending on the applicant’s country. We strongly recommend checking with the Spanish embassy or consulate in your home country for the most current and specific information.

Ailespañol Visa Policy:
If your visa application is denied, you will receive a refund of the amount paid minus a €200 processing fee. To request the refund, you must provide the official rejection letter from the consulate, which should include your personal details and the type of visa applied for.

Aprender Ya Visa Denial policy:

If you purchased the premium service and your visa is denied, an administrative fee of €70 will apply. The remaining amount will be refunded once the consulate’s rejection letter is submitted.

Information about the DELE Exam in Málaga

Enhance your DELE exam preparation with our expert course in Málaga. This program is designed to give you the best chance of passing with flying colours! The Diplomas of Spanish as a Foreign Language (DELE) are official certifications that validate your Spanish language abilities, awarded by the Instituto Cervantes in collaboration with the Spanish Ministry of Education and Vocational Training. The Instituto Cervantes manages these diplomas’ academic, administrative, and financial aspects, following the applicable Royal Decrees.

DELE exams are aligned with the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR) and span all proficiency levels from A1 to C2. They are based on the Curriculum Plan developed by the Instituto Cervantes, which adheres to the CEFR descriptors. There are two categories of DELE exams: general exams for individuals aged 16 and older, and exams aimed at students between 11 and 17 years old.

In Spain, DELE diplomas are recognized by numerous institutions. For example, the Ministry of Justice requires a DELE A2 or above for citizenship applications, and the Ministry of Health requires a DELE C1 or C2 for roles within the healthcare system. Additionally, DELE certificates are considered valid evidence of Spanish language proficiency for both professional and academic endeavours in Spain. Enrol in our DELE exam preparation classes to secure your certification and let us help you achieve your language goals.

How do the DELE Exam Preparation Classes Work

Our approach to DELE exam preparation sets us apart. We prepare you with real past exams, teach effective exam techniques, improve response styles, and provide practice on specific exam tasks. Covering all the linguistic skills required for the exam, we also share insider tips to maximize your preparation.

To ensure personalized attention, we keep our groups small, with a maximum of eight students. Our collaborative environment fosters a sense of camaraderie as we embark on a collective journey toward a common goal: conquering the DELE exam. Flexibility is key, and we offer two types of DELE preparation courses tailored to your schedule. Whether you have limited availability or prefer an intensive program, we have an option that perfectly suits you.

How do I sign up for the exam?

Once you have enrolled on the course, you will need to register for the exam. Please register through the Instituto Cervantes website at: https://examenes.cervantes.es/es/dele/inscribirse

I don’t know which exam level to sign up for, can AIL help me evaluate my level?

After you book your course, we will set up an interview with our Academic Coordinator to assess your current level of Spanish and advise you on which examination level to sign up for. We use an effective 3-step placement test consisting of a phone/Skype/in person conversation with our Academic Coordinator, an online grammar level test and a self-evaluation. With this information, we can make sure you are preparing for the right level and your chances of success are optimised!

How are the classes structured?

Our DELE Exam Preparation Course is a great way to prepare for the most important Spanish exam that exists, one of the only official Spanish as a foreign language exam accredited by Spain’s Ministry of Education. The course focuses exclusively on DELE exam preparation; you will learn specific exam techniques, practice past exam questions and develop all four key skills tested: reading, writing, listening and speaking. You will concentrate on the essential things to pass your exam! Therefore it’s important to note that by the time you start your DELE preparation course you have to have the desired level’s knowledge acquired.
